Bodegas Ramirez was founded and began to sell bottled wine under this name.
Ramírez de la Piscina is an ancient aristocratic family name linked to medieval tradition which comes from the Romanesque Church of Santa María de la Piscina (12th century). It is the family name.
Thanks to the passion and hard work of the children, bottled wine began to be sold under the brand name "Ramírez de la Piscina" and under the quality distinction of Designation of Origin Rioja.
Ramírez de la Piscina moved into international markets: USA, Germany, UK, Japan, etc.
The new Ramírez de la Piscina Wineries were built with the most modern facilities, incorporating the latest technologies into their work processes.
The meticulousness of the process, the unique location and sustainable cultivation of the vineyards, the hand harvesting, the grape sorting tables at the entrance to the winery and the aging in oak barrels give our wines exceptional qualities.
